The Real Intelligence Advantage: Why Hitting Publish Beats Being Perfect

How to overcome your fear of starting online.

Analysis paralysis kept me from getting more of my work out into the world for years.

I’d sit on drafts. Rewrite hooks. Second-guess ideas before they ever saw daylight.

Even when you don’t know what works or doesn’t work, getting your thoughts out to the internet is significantly better than not doing anything.

The reason why I want to hit publish as much as humanly possible is leads.

This inaction, and inability to hit PUBLISH, is what is stopping you from creating parasocial relationships.

Real Intelligence Advantage

Now in the age of the AI slop, organic content is king.

Look everywhere around you, you will see unoriginal thought.

It’s not because X, but because Y. Em dashes everywhere. Reeks of AI.

Reader’s mind is tuned to finding human thought, it is scanning for authentic intelligence. Synthetic garbage doesn’t work.

And give it enough of repetition and time, you will realize that unfinished products are better.

My YouTube is proof

Without any meaningful audience, I’ve been banging out videos that hit over 2,000 views and 200 hours of watch time.

Now that I have this awareness, I am more cognizant as to how valuable videos are.

That concept of parasocial relationship that I’ve mentioned, it triple compounds when it comes down to video.

Someone watching you for 10 minutes on a video is 100x better than them reading one of your blog posts.

2,000 views, and it didn’t even have a thumbnail…

Are you a high value person?

If you have value to offer, the biggest problem you are facing in life, and the reason why you don’t have leads in the first place, is because you are not out there.

You can do this on multiple fronts, you can deploy technology, and deliver 1 video 1,000 times. Or you can create 1,000 videos.

Results don’t come only from mindless action, but from strategy.

But if you don’t have core competence, you won’t develop confidence.

So hit PUBLISH.

Don’t hesitate.
